HOW TO:GET JANJATI ID IN NEPAL

 

If you belong to one of the indigenous group listed in Caste and Ethinicity they you can register as an indigenous residing in Nepal.

You have to get recommendation from the office of your concerned indigenous group and register in National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities.

You should first get recommendation for your indigenous group office.

• Newar: Newa Dey Daboo,Dallu,Kathamndu
• Rai/Kirat:Koteshwor,Kathmandu
• Magar : Kalanki
• Limbu : Tikhedewal,Lalitpur
• Tamang:,Near Hayat regency,Boudha
• Sherpa : Narayantar,Jorpati
• Sunuwar: Balkumari,Koteshwor
• Tharu: Sinamangal

 

Newa Dey Daboo : Go to Room Number 3 

For recommendation you need to have

• Service Charge: Rs 650 
• 1 auto size photo for ID card 
• 2 passport size photo one for recommendation and one for details form fill
• Copy of citizenship

In case of minor you need to provide

• Birth Certificate photocopy
• Copy of citizenship of father or mother 

 

Then go to office of National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities.

• You need to pay 200 npr
• Provide original recommendation from your indigenous group
• Copy of citizenship
• Fill the form provided with your personal information and place 1 passport size photo
• Obtain printed indigenous card and post 2 auto size photo
• Check whether the details are correct or not
• Have your card signed by section office in 3^rd floor
• Register you card in office record at ground floor
