HOW TO:GET NATIONAL ID CARD IN NEPAL

 National ID Card is chip based identification system introduced in Nepal which contains biometric data of 10 finger prints, iris scan, signature, personal details, etc. Government has made national id mandatory for the process of getting Nepali Passport.


HOW TO GET NATIONAL ID CARD IN NEPAL ?


1. Sign up online for pre-enrollment  : http://www.nidmc.gov.np/PreEnrollment


or FILL THE FORM IN PERSON FROM DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION OFFICE/WARD OFFICE 





2.  Click on Login For Individuals


3.  A screen will popup where you have to enter your mobile number


4. You will get and One time password.


5. Click on new enrollment and fill up your details.




6. For appointment select ward office if it is available else select District Administration Office.


7. Goto district administration office with following documents

  • Original citizenship
  • Father's citizenship photocopy
  • Mother's citizenship photocopy
  • Original Marriage certificate
8. Have your photo clicked, biometric taken, and digital signature signed.

9. DAO will provide you with NIN (National ID Number) and personal information, check with your original citizenship for data verification.

10. Get signature of administrative office and have DAO stamp.

11. National ID Card will be provided at latter date which will be informed through SMS in the number you provide for OTP.
